Module based sculptural lighting system exploring the natural beauty of incandescent lighting. The shapes and forms of the lightbulbs are used as elements of design to shape the structures. The system uses 7.5-60 Watt lightbulbs with E27 bases in various combinations.
The sculptural pieces come together into forms reminiscent of insects of jelly fish. This visual connection to live creatures was drawn upon in an art installation called the Endangered Species Exhibition showcased publically in Toronto Canada, and Cambridge UK. Technologies, just as species go extinct. In this case it is the fate of incandescent ligting products that is uncertain. |
